Solid experience in standard experimental models of epilepsy (pilocarpine induced status epilepticus, kainate model, kindling) and models of pain (acetic acid writhing test, plantar test, von Frey test, formalin test, tail-flick test) in rodents; behavioral testing (rota rod, activity cage) in rats.
Stereotaxic surgery in rodent’s experience.
Experience in electrophysiology (one cell recording; software Spike2) and EEG monitoring (software AcqKnowledge) in rats.
Experience in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and separation of biological samples (solid phase extraction, liquid-liquid extraction)

The 9 month period of time research stay at the Department of Neuropharmacology, Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Second University of Naples, Italy; under the supervision of Prof. S. Maione focusing on the role of the hind brain regions (periaqueductal gray matter and rostroventral medulla) in pain control using the classic pain tests, the in vivo microdialysis and HPLC techniques.
